HTTYD Trilogy in Gifsets: 6/??

275 of 365: Dedicated to, the magnificent musical composer, John Powell. HTTYD would not be the same level of majesty it is without this man’s magical music talent, and dare I say the music is as much apart of the storytelling as the characters themselves. There’s been multiple occasions and many nights I found myself listening to HTTYD on repeat for comfort, just listening till I fell asleep (then getting startled awake by that first note in “Forbidden Friendship” XD). The HTTYD soundtracks are so powerful, every time I listen it’s like rewatching the movie in my head, it really takes you there. In fact, just the other day I was listening to HTTYD 1 soundtrack, listening to ‘Where’s Hiccup?’ and when that soft piano melody hit I literally stopped what I was doing and dropped everything, completely taken aback to when I watched that scene for the first time. Heck- it hit me so hard I felt as if I was literally transported into the room with Hiccup, watching as he awoke with Toothless by his side. It took my breath away. Then when you think it couldn’t possibly get any better, he delivers to our undeserving ears yet another masterpiece with things like ‘Flying With mother’ and ‘Dancing and The Dreaming’ in HTTYD 2. Unbelievable.
I don’t know what this third soundtrack will bring, but I bet it will definitely make things 50x more beautifully painful. Ready or not, I can’t wait. :’)
Thank you John Powell, for giving us everything else. ❤

Hiccup’s hair + flight.
Why couldn’t I have killed that dragon when I found him in the woods? Would have been better for everyone.
Everything we know about you guys is wrong.
“In the first film, when Hiccup reaches out to touch Toothless, the audience had to believe that he is real. If the audience is not in love with Toothless as much as Hiccup is and if you don’t get lost in his eyes, the movie won’t work.” –Simon Otto, head of character animation
