Can we talk about the fact that Aizawa never once blinks or breaks eyes contact with Shigaraki Tomura during this entire time Nomu is just violently ripping his head back? Like, he’s got to know what’s coming. He has to know Nomu is either going to just like snap his head backwards and break his neck or smash it into the pavement, you don’t pull someone back like that if you’re not doing one of those two things. Aizawa has to know this and he never once breaks eye contact, he never once blinks, he never once flinches. That’s incredible. This man is 100% prepared to just spend his last waking moment protecting these kids and I know we’ve all established he is a fantastic hero, but I just feel like it needs said again.
I feel like it’s not acknowledged enough.
Like, sure, he’s a pro hero, that’s his profession, but he’s also a hero.
Through and through, to the very core of his being, if he hadn’t decided to be a pro hero and go into teaching, I guarantee someone with this kind of selflessness and persistence would have done anything he could to save some stranger kids he didn’t even know if he was just passing by on the streets.
