Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer delivered an update on the delay of the first movie in the trilogy Chaos Walking
’‘On the film side Chaos is not in March. We’re actually been waiting for our two lead starts to finish the photography with them which will happen in February.“
So it’s not wrapping filming til the end of February. Standard 10 week post-production gets us to May 10th, more or less. Add another month of post, at least, b/c this is an effects heavy blockbuster with lots of CGI, and we’re at June 10th for the movie even being finished, at the absolute earliest. Which means – considering all the steps between finished and released – a christmas 2019 release is probably the earliest we can hope for.
To add: Originally filming was going to wrap in November 2017 for a release date of March 2019. That’s 15 months. So depending on how heavy these reshoots are, and how much previous post-pro work they invalidate, we could be in for a long wait.
Me: So you remember in the ALTA finale when Aang gets slammed against a rock in JUST the right spot so his chakra is unblocked and it realigns his whole spirit & body and he is able to reach his full potential as the avatar?
it’s not… live action… “photorealistic” does not mean “live action” those aren’t real talking lions dude. there are no humans in the movie. none of the action is live. its cg animation. there’s nothing wrong with cg animation! just say it’s cg. it’s not live action. just because it’s not stylized and cartoony doesn’t mean it’s live action. stop calling it live action
