I just love this shot so much because the dragon riders along with Hiccup have so much stepped into their roles as leaders of the island. It’s not just Hiccup who’s grown up– though look at him in the chief’s giant ass chair you go baby– but Fishlegs being recognized as a dragon caretaker, Astrid being his general, Snotlout doing whatever the fuck Snotlout does. I just love them all supporting Hiccup as he walks into this phase of his life, and I know Stoick would be so fucking proud of them all.
As a counterpoint, it appears that the twins aren’t allowed anywhere near the head table at the meeting.

so when i moved out my mom bought me a small set of dishes from a store that was going out of business and i was super psyched bc the bowls in the set were REALLY BIG! you know, like super deep and could hold more cereal than average and all
DOWNSIDE is that they are so deep i can’t fit my flat face in them to lick the ice cream at the bottom of my bowl. i mean, i still did it but now im sitting here typing this and my face is covered in ice cream from the underside of my chin all the way to the bridge of my nose
