Deedee Magno Hall and Susan Egan sang together as Pearl and Rose for the first time, and it was incredibly touching. I was very grateful to hear it live (especially at the very end).

listen, i think that remaking The Lion King is stupid for all the same reasons as everyone else, being
1. the trailer makes it look absolutely IDENTICAL to the original but with cgi, so therefore
2. it won’t be as good as the original, bc The Lion King is perfect as is
and then like 3. disney pls just make something NEW but whatever
BUT!!! and this is something I’ve been saying since the beginning of time, if we’re gonna do a remake of the original Lion King with the intention of trying to improve on the original, the ONLY. WAY. TO MAKE THE LION KING BETTER IS

The holy trinity of writing
Something I think is neat and really cute about fanfic is that there’s a personal version of each character in it? Like, each writer focuses on different traits and qualities and even though there can be a hundred fics with the same character, they’re really not exactly the same.
So even if you and I are writing a fic with the same characters, they can still be uniquely different despite having the same core and they’re each dear to us personally as our take on the person.
I don’t know, I just think it’s cute that each writer cherishes these characters in personal and unique ways.
