One of the reasons I feel so comfortable using Tumblr over other social media is because this site is clearly too incompetent to be evil.

The basic business model of a social network is to harvest commercially valuable personal data and sell it, most famously via targeted ads. Anyone visiting my blog can clearly see that I am a queer furry who’s into video games and art. And yet I am only served ads for funeral homes, Bible story DVDs, and the current president’s reelection campaign (in 2018 for some reason)

Needless to say my click through rate has not been very good

Me: Runs a blog dedicated to dungeons and dragons and anime
Tumblr: You know what, you strike me as a sporty type

I’m a social media manager for my day job and Tumblr is literally the only social media platform I can relax on anymore because it’s so incompetent when it comes to exploiting my personal data.

Lmao good luck finding $600 rent

where’s the food

where’s the heating

$20 health insurance?

Medical expenses? Car maintenance? Gas money? Childcare? Hygene supplies? Water, Natural gas bill, Dental, Cleaning supplies? Student Loans? If we’re talking a normal household and decent life, veterinary care and clothing? And if you get sick and can’t work ya two jobs?

They didn’t budget for FUCKING FOOD.

I live in Michigan, there is no car insurance for $100 and it’s mandatory, not including home or renter’s insurance. If you aren’t paying for heating have fun freezing to death.

You know what has to be one of the most tiring job in the bnha universe? Those kindergarten teachers who have to deal with quirks showing up all the time and tiny humans who don’t know how to use them

phantomrose96:

Abso-fucking-lutely. And like, I’ve dwelled on this before. I dug up this old post I made on the topic:

The BNHA universe probably has Stranger Danger and Drug Resistance assemblies but also they definitely have “Quirk Safety” assemblies tacked onto that in their kindergarten and elementary schools.

“If you’re out playing at the park and your friend says that you should use your quirks, even though this is a public location where quirk use is forbidden, what should you say?”
Kids, all in unison: “No! Only villains do that!”

“If a man comes up to you and says he has a candy creation quirk, and he wants you to follow him to his car so he can show you, what should you say?”
“No!! Only villains do that!!”

“If a girl in class has been extra mean to you, and you have a destruction-type quirk such as pyrogeneration, poisonous gas manipulation, exsanguination, or powerful traumatic hallucination generation for example (looking at you, kindergarten class c), is it okay for you to use your quirk on her to get revenge?”
No!!!! Only villains do that!”
