tbh a lot of my advice boils down to “hey you know that terrible horrible looming thing you’re doing your best to avoid and distract and escape as much as possible but no matter what you do it just keeps looming and looming and ruining your life”

“just, fuckign, run straight at it screaming.”

i needed this as a background

oh My god

tropes that will always f*ck me up

  • composed characters losing their composure
  • kind characters snapping
  • characters hugging each other after one or both of them have been through hell
  • character cradling their significant other’s face while they kiss
  • character says something hurtful. later on in the movie they are in a similar situation and say something kind instead.
  • self sacrifice
  • griefstricken women (who under normal circumstances wouldn’t hurt a fly) lashing out and striking the person responsible for the loss of their loved one
  • ugly crying
  • characters struggling to talk because they’re about to cry
  • characters reuniting with someone whom they thought were dead
  • FOREHEAD KISSES
  • F O R E H E A D     T O U C H E S

TIL In 2013, Apple banned a game called “Send Me To Heaven” which involved throwing your iPhone as high as you can. The creator wanted to deliberately destroy as many iPhones as possible.

This is one of my favorite scenes of the anime, ever. The narration, the music, the animation… So many strong emotions in a short time. I think anyone who had/has a partner like Pikachu knows exactly what is going on Ash’s heart/mind in that moment. I love how that affectionate gesture makes him so vulnerable and, at the same time, full of courage too.

(one note, one post project)

I adored this moment too, there’s just so much expressed, without a word between them.

You literally get to see his expression change from gratitude and relief to “nothing is ever going to hurt you again” I am so inconsolable
