AU where instead of framing Maria Ross, Envy hides Maes Hughes’ corpse and then masquerades as him (probably after doing a little bit of character study) and then mustang and Gracia etc slowly have to realize it’s not their Maes and then confront him and get the nasty surprise that he’s dead after build up of something being unsettling and wrong about Hughes
