can we talk about the fact that there are scenes in trc in which teenagers actually feel physical attraction/desire… like… ronan’s dream in tdt. adam telling himself he can’t look at blue’s breasts in bllb or gansey “there was nothing inherently guilty about the moment except that Gansey burned with guilt and thrill and desire” … I could go on, but my point is that I absolutely loved it, because that’s how things are – teenagers do feel lust, though it might be a delicate thing to write about; it might just backfire. YA books generally only depict “pure” romantic love, and desire is just a collateral. Being a teenager myself, it’s nice to read about characters who feel things realistically.
